This poem is for a friend with whom I hadn't been talking much lately. I thought she no longer saw me as a close friend. But I've always been grateful to her. She taught me so many life principles as a woman—like taking care of myself, valuing myself, and enjoying life through things like shopping and going to the salon. She inspires me in so many ways, one of which is how she never talks about others behind their backs.
Not long after, I had lunch with her, and it turned out that our relationship was just like before. I could still share so much with her, and nothing had changed. She is still my best friend and I'm still her bestie too. When I wrote this poem, I had promised to give her a pair of pajamas I made. Since I had delayed it for a while and only just found the time, I decided to include the poem for her as well.
I want her to know that even though we don't talk as often, her presence in my life is always meaningful. She has inspired me a lot, and to me, our friendship will always remain as it is. Of course, we can't meet as frequently as before; we each have our own families now. This poem is actually inspired by memories of our school days—when we used to meet every day. If we were flowers, I would be like a sweet and happy flower that seeks comfort, while she would be like a bright and striking flower in the garden of my memories, drawing everyone who sees her to admire her.
So, this is for her, and I hope she'll read this and remember us in our school days.

In The Garden of Memories
In the garden of memories,
An Amaryllis so dear
Stands tall above
Within all the winter blooms
Her presence so strong,
So confident,
With unwavering persistence,
Showing elegance and grace
Admiring her strength, her relentless stride,
I nestle by her side, blinded by her light
She taught me to nurture my spirit's flame,
To tend my soul, in life's intricate game
Distance now stands,
Where closeness once led
We drifted apart,
but our bond still lights
For in every sunset, in every dawn
Her lessons rhyme
In the symphony of life,
Her melody dwells
When days turns weak in the chaos of life
My gratitude for her endlessly grows
In the depths of my grateful heart,
She remains a treasure, never to depart
So here's to you, my friend so true,
In the quiet moments, I always thank you
Paths may diverge, and time may decree,
But you'll always hold a special place
In the garden of my memories
Your Dear Friend, M
